Biomay Management Team

Hans Huber is a seasoned industry manager with over 20 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical industry. Hans joined Biomay in 2008 as Head of Manufacturing. He was assigned to Biomay's Executive Board in 2012 as COO, and in 2019 as CEO. Before joining Biomay, Hans has worked for about ten years at Boehringer Ingelheim RCV as Head of Process Science / Fermentation and as a Technology and Innovation Manager. Hans Huber received his PhD degree in Biotechnology from the University of Life Sciences and Natural Resources, Vienna.

Angela Neubauer has more than 25 years of working experience in biotech and life science business. She has joined Biomay in 2003 and was Head of Product Development until 2017, responsible for the clinical development of the company's own allergy vaccine products. She now is in charge of project management, customer relations, and business development in Biomay's CDMO business. She is General Manager (officer with statutory authority) too. Angela has a PhD degree in Biotechnology from the University of Life Sciences and Natural Resources.

Hauke Hüttmann has joined the company in 2014. He is an expert in biotech downstream processing and responsible for GMP manufacturing and process development. In addition, Hauke Hüttmann is General Manager of the company (officer with statutory authority). Before joining Biomay, he has worked at Boehringer Ingelheim RCV for eight years as a downstream process development scientist. Hauke has a degree in Biotechnology and a degree in Bioprocess Engineering from the University of Applied Sciences in Hamburg.

Gottfried Stegfellner works at Biomay since 2007 in several positions in bioprocessing, biomanufacturing and process development. Since 2012 and until now, Gottfried has been Biomay's Head of Manufacturing / Upstream. In this position, he is responsible for molecular biology, cell banking, GMP upstream manufacturing, as well as upstream process development.
Before joining Biomay, he was in a scientific position at the Medical University of Vienna. Gottfried has a degree in biotechnology from the University of Life Sciences and Natural Resources.

Ernst Böhm is responsible for all QC activities since 2018, including product release testing, in-process control and analytical assay development. Ernst started his career in R&D at Boehringer Ingelheim Austria, working within process and analytical development in microbial and mammalian cell culture projects. From 2002 to 2018, he held several management and scientific positions at Shire (former Baxter BioScience and Baxalta) in R&D and analytical development for recombinant proteins and gene therapies. Dr. Böhm holds a PhD degree from the University of Life Sciences and Natural Resources, Vienna.

Linda Gombos joined Biomay in 2018 where she was leading the team for Process Development / Down Stream Processing before she became Head of MSAT in 2021. Linda holds a PhD in Biochemistry form the Eötvös Loránd University of Budapest, Hungary.

Andrea Fuchs joined Biomay in 2017 as Head of Accounting. In this position, she is responsible for the company´s accounting and controlling tasks. Andrea is an educated chief accountant, and she has a career of more than 30 years in accounting, controlling and taxation. In those areas, she held several management positions in the building industry (Porr) and the banking sector (Bank Austria).
